Alice Monaghan
Assistant Vice Principal
After completing a BSc in Psychology at the University of Nottingham, Alice began her teaching career on the Teach First Leadership Development Programme where she taught in an inner-city primary academy in Grimsby. Ater two years, she moved back to her home city of Leeds and worked in a primary school in Burmantofts. She developed her experience as a subject leader, leading history then computing across Key Stage 1 and 2.
Subsequently, Alice became leader of the School Council and championed pupil voice across the school. For three years, Alice taught across the primary phase before becoming a Year 6 teacher, supporting every student to achieve their potential and outstanding results in their end of Key Stage 2 SATS assessments.
In 2020, Alice joined Dixons Trinity Chapeltown as Lower Peak lead responsible for Years 2, 3 and 4 and maths lead responsible for outstanding teaching and learning of maths across the primary phase.
She has enjoyed coaching members of staff and developing the primary curriculum so that all students can succeed at university or a real alternative, thrive in a top job and have a great life.
